I am parroting here as I just added NP Biopellets to my tank yesterday. But theory is that nutrient loaded bacteria cultivated via carbon dosing can serve as food for corals and enhance colors too.

I have found good water flow to also be key to good PE and colour. Your flow of only 20-30x is a bit low IMO.
