What do you want to see on the table?

As an update: I just spoke to Gresham at Reef Nutrition and he is sending us some of their awesome products for our next raffle. That is going to help a great deal and I am very excited to get him on board!!!

I am looking into a refractometer and some Maxijet 1200's and or a few Seio's as asked by the people for the next eeting as well!!

Please keep the suggestions flowing as they are helping me a great deal :D

Paul,

I have no input on what to put on the table. However, I personally want to say that you are doing an excellent job. Not because of all the raffle prizes your have brought it, but because of all you have done to improve the relation between our LFS and our club. Keep up the excellent work!

One area you can improve in though is: Pick my tickets more often. ;-) It's getting a little old watching other people win MY prizes.

I was impressed with the raffle even though it was my first, but not my last. Great job. Tools and equipment are always a plus along with cleaning crew. As I am new I stayed away from the corals for their benefit. I would have picked a bag of sand with critters if it was there, were all in different positions on the same path.

I actually tried to give all of the LFS a break this month. I don't want to run the well dry and some of them have been really helpful so far. I did get donations from YR and Exotic but they had talked to me the month prior about donating so I couldn't resist. Thanks again to both of them as always for helping us out!! The raffle wouldn't be the same without those guys!!

I also wanted to thank CRS, Ost, and Aqua Life.
Brian at CRS has been one of our biggest donators and has helped make the raffles so spectacular. My first raffle 3 months ago was heavily dominated by Brian. Without him it would have been much smaller.

Peggy at O st. has also been a helpful contributor and has helped out with a donation every time I have asked.

Aqualife was anti-MARS when I first approached them due to some harsh words and past problems. They have since reopened themselves to helping us out and are reinstating ( I believe) the MARS discounts and donated the nano last month as the grand prize.

We are fortunate to have such awesome LFS and should thank them when we stop by for being so gracious!

C'mon guys.... The more you list, the more things I may actually buy that you want to see...BOMBS AWAY!!!

Page two...

umm looking at the list, there's not much left on there that's not required for keeping reefs ;)

I want to see Tim's (TFP) tank on the raffle table. While we're at it, can we also add in Pam's and Karl's tanks as well. :D I want the tank fully stocked.

Aww, Minh

I don't really belong on a list with Pam and Tim. Paul does know that he has an open invitation to get frags from me for the raffle. So, whenever you guys want to see some hardy SPS on the table;)

I'd bring them myself, but I'm usually too beat from the work week to make it on Friday nights:(

Karl is SO GOING to wish he had never opened that door

Good news all... SPS frags from Karls tank will be on display at the next raffle!!!!

I like Fragmented's idea of a qt tank. One of those ultimately useful, but never thought of, things. For us noobs, we're too worried about getting our tank up to snuff before we spend the cash on something like that.

Buttons buster,

Paul said on page 1 that Aqualife donated the Pico:)

Actually, they donated the nano last month. The person who donated the pico wishes to remain anonymous, so don't worry Mike Bedford, your secret is safe with me!!

Well as Steve said theres not much else that can be mentioned...I would like to reiterate a sugestion made at the last meeting though: The calibration of refractometers. If this is logistically possible; I know that we all own different instruments made by different manufacturers but I think many of us could benefit from the education on how to properly calibrate each specific refractometer as well as using a trusted source of calibration liquid. What do you think?

BTW: TANKS goes out to Paul for being so generous to me~!
TANKS MAN, TANKS~!

Ok after reading all of these posts I am shooting for possibly a phosban reactor, power heads and pumps, a refractometer and all different kinds of corals. As far as fish and inverts go what would you all like to see. I got a blue tang last time. I also got snails and sally lighfoot crabs along with cleaner shrimp. Do you want to see more of the same or is there some other things that I am missing? Please put lists ogf fish and inverts YOU would want to win. I will see which ones seem to be the most requested and will try my best to accomodate... I will be buying some Blue Jaw triggers for sure though... I was thinking a pair.. SOOO which fish and inverts do you want to win??

Ha! I will see what I can do for the wish list next time round. I am glad y'all are enjoying some of the nifty stuff I am more than happy to donate to the cause. How about dry supplements? I have hundreds of lbs of the items that were discussed in the advanced Q+A (Soda Ash, calcium hydroxide, calcium chloride, etc.) ... and of course lots more salt. ;)

Also, I have lent the use of my QT tanks to Paul (and MARS) for the purpose of acquiring new livestock items for the raffle. Given Paul helped me plumb them in at 2AM - its the least I can do. Soo... I will see what I can do on taking pics when they are in the system for the table so you know a little more on what you are picking up. I run medication (all natural) in my QTs - to help with bacteria and fungal outbreaks and overall observation for pests, so I am hoping this will help in reducing the mortality rates and your new friends arrive home eating and happy.

Keep up the good work all!

Oh, BTW - I DID bring bags and all to bag up the contents of the pico so that it would not be so rough going home. From lots of experience of watering my trucks' carpets (and passengers), I know all too well what its like to try and move loaded systems. Just glad it all worked out in the end. :D

MIke, Thanks for your generosity.

Paul,

Fire shrimp
Cleaner shrimp

what about a clam, dont rememeber anyone saying a clam.

Crocea
teardrop maxima for a grand prize kinda thing?
