what eats chaeto?

is there any critter that could be put in a refugium that would eat chaeto?
the thought that sparks the question is that after a population of chaeto was established and growing, if there was something placed in there that would begin feasting on it slowly, the manual removal would become unnecessary. sorta naturally closing that loop, if you will.

My sailfin tang eats chaeto.

If something eats the chaeto, then the nutrients the chaeto removed from the water column would go right back into the system, thus it would no longer be a source of nutrient export.

Also, chaeto can cause intestinal impactions in tangs and cause death. Tangs should not be fed cheato IMO.

yeah i guess the nutrients would just get recycled that way............
