My tank is fully working now, the basic equipment is in place, and now is the time for the small details that can make this hobby more enjoyment than a PITA, for now i have:

- Sump
- Fuge
- Skimmer
- Lights (leds)
- Powerheads
- ATO (by gravity for now)
- Hydrometer
- Basic test kit (amo, nitrite, nitrate)
- QT tank

Now the part were i need your help, what other equipments am i missing, my plan is a mixed reef with "easy" corals mostly softies and some LPS, i know i need a controller and that's the next thing on my list, but maybe i'm wrong and i need to move the controller lower, and purchase a few things first, so what else do i need:

- Controller...

What are you going to control? You already have an ATO. Lights? If that is it, you could just get a simple timer. Hard to comment with the lack of information you gave. What size is your DT? Sump? What kind of LPS are you wanting to keep? Not all are needing the same parameters to grow. What LED's are you using? Even if you have a controller, you will have to work to keep the tank going in the right direrction.

So, from what information you posted, you don't need anything else to have a successful tank. Just do lots of reading before buying a particular animal, then determine what you will need to make it live and thrive. There is a lot of equipment out there, but not a lot of equipment is needed to run a tank.

Ditch the hydrometer and get a refractometer. Whether an Apex or single use control I would get something to plug your heater into.

I'd add a GFO, Carbon reactor to control phosphates. I hate cyano algae that seems to form and is a PITA to get rid of

Sorry, DT is 125g, sump is 50g, i have the timers but a controller is a lot more than timers an ATO, i want common simple corals so i don't have to be all the time paying attention to the tank, more than regular maintenance.

LEDs are 72 aquastyle kit.
