What else looks similar to ICH?

I have had a stable tank for several months now (3-4mo with NO changes or additions) Have 2 GBTA's and a pair of clowns and one yellow watchman goby.

Two days ago I noticed what typically looks like ich on my yellow watchmans EYE. It is a little larger than a grain of sand you'd find on a playground, completely white, don't notice any eyes or anything else. Haven't had any previous ICH outbreaks ever so not sure where this came from out of nowhere without showing itself for months.

is it only on the YWG? if so it may be an injury

It sure is. Very strange IMO.... Do injuries typically raise out like that though? It looks like something is physically ON him, I was half tempted to catch him while hes sleeping and do either a) a 5 min freshwater dip or b) try to carefully remove it with tweezers but I worry to much about hurting him or scaring him to death.

Lymphocystis causes raised white lesions. Does it look like this?

Don't panic. Just make sure your water quality is good , maybe do a water change.
If you have some Garlic xtreme by kent(or anything Like that) just soak your food in it before feeding.
At least thats what i do when I see a stressed fish.

Some times prematurely treating a fish stresses it more, just keep an eye on him for now and keep us posted .

It will probably heal on its own.

Okay, I have just started feeding frozen brine with some fresh cut up garlic in the batch as well.. Hopefully all will get well.

Ive never used fresh garlic.
I suppose it would work but I would like to hear from someother people about that before you do more of it.
I would hate to steer you the wrong way.
basically the garlic is suppose to entice the fish to eat more thus giving the fish more energy to combat disease or infection.

what are your water parameters,internexus?

I haven't done a test this past week or so but typically as follows.

Salinity: 1.024
PH: 8.2-8.3
Temp: 80*
Ammonia: 0
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 10

I use fresh garlic also.......My clowns even eat the chunks of garlic. I make my own food and throw in a clove or two depending on how much Im making...Works great

I will give it a shot, it's going to be fairly hard with the way he hangs out in the tank lol, I'll see what I get for you guys!

Is it the spot near the left eye? If so, I'm suspicious that it could be early lymphocystis. Because lymphocystis is caused by a virus, there is no specific treatment.

Often, it resolves on its own, but it can spread to other fish. If you have a quarantine tank, it would be a good idea to isolate the fish, no matter what the cause.

Yes it is on his left eye. So keep feeding foods with garlic and hope for the best?
If you don't have a quarantine tank, I'd try the garlic. It can't hurt. Do you have other fish in the tank? If so, keep a close eye on them.
