I keep 7 bags in my sump in a separate chamber. I recharge with bleach overnight & then Dechlor, every 3 months or when they start turning brown. Lots more economical than carbon & way less messy.

It is like a synthetic carbon. I will have some at your swap in 2 weeks....not sure how fast you need it.
Each recharge it loses approx 50% of its useful life, so it will exhaust itself fairly quickly.

You know what's weird, Dirk? Some jars seem to recharge better than others. I have a gigantic one (like the 4L jar) that is worthless. The recharged lasts maybe 3 weeks.

But I have a smaller jar that is on it's 4th round and lasts forever (months).
