What fish do you WISH you had?

I just ordered one last night but received a call around lunch time and was told the angel came down with something that they're not going to ship it to me because that's the last one in stock. Oh well, hopefully I can find a healthy one next time. Normally I would start with two but knowing how delicate they are that I decided to just getting one.

Who were you trying to buy from? I like that service, not sending out a sick fish.

queen angel was the fish that suckered me into saltwater years ago...I just can't justify putting one in a tank

eskymick, I am with you on the filefish. My other choice is a leopard wrasse. I just got one from BZA, DOA so now I have a credit. What or what should I buy? I have an empty 50 gallon waiting for a fish. Should I buy that filefish?

- Paracentropyge multifasciatus X Paracentropyge venustus (* Paracentropyge ;) ).

- Apolemichthys arcuatus/Holocanthus arcuatus (call it what you will)

- Centropyge debelius

- Centropyge interruptus

- Centropyge boylei

- Genicanthus personatus

- Pseudanthias ventralis (eating prepared foods well, as someone else mentioned!)

- Zebrasoma gemmatum

Ya anyone that doesnt have boylei at the top of this list needs brain surgery ;c) (jmo of course).

I'd have to go with the purple queen anthias (pseudanthias pascalus)

Trying to pull an all-nighter, so I'll get detailed. This is in Reef fish, so I'll plan to keep corals (just SPS and photo gorgonians tho) and call it a reef tank. The tank wouldn't be astronomically large, so lets say a 400gal, 120"(L) x36"(D) X27"(T). All of the fish are 'reasonably' attainable, probably two 1/2hp chillers running to keep the tank at 74°F.

Fish:

5x Yellowfin Bass -- Anthias nicholsi

Tiger angelfish -- Apolemichthys kingi

Chrysurus Angel -- Pomacanthus chrysurus

2x Blueline Angel (Pair) -- Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis

3x Multi-barred Angel (Trio) -- Centropyge multifasciata

In the tank I have now, a standard 180 gallon a pair of Meridithi angelfish would finish my stock list nicely.

My wish list tank will happen one day but not anytime soon, it would be a 500 gallon plus and would essentially be a huge FO with several species of large angels, tangs, a few groupers, and a pair of crosshatch or bluejaw triggers.

My top 4:

Conspicuous Angel (already have)
Gem Tang (arriving in 4 weeks)
Wrought iron Butterlfy (in the works.....maybe))
Interruptus Angel (in the works......maybe)

My top two:

1. Clarion angel: Though with my luck it would probably pick at corals constantly.
2. Achilles tang: One that woud survive and adapt to captive life obiously. Sadly I have not once seen one at a store in good condition.

you rank a gem tang higher than a wrought iron ?

Anyways i've liked the bandit angels' colorrs... but it seems this fellow has taken an entire shipment. If there were damselfish with it's colouration..

that's 9
