What fish for a 40g, bb high flow SPS tank

Hey guys, need some advice. My tank has a lot of flow in which I feel bad for my 2 clowns I have now since they have a hard time finding a resting place a night. Anyway what other fish would be good for a BB high flow SPS tank? I'd love tangs but I'm thinking my tang is just to small for one.

Any thoughts?

For your size tank you could get a goby, watch out they jump, a dottiback, anything on this list is ok http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/aquarium-fish-supplies.cfm?c=15+2124

I have a similar sized tank and successfully kept anthias, and yellow tangs but you really have to watch your feedings and make sure your tank is open and they can swim.

IMO the best schooling fish to put in any take are reef blue/green chromis. They poop a lot but most of the time if you get 5-6 they will school for you unless one is a bully. If so , take him out and flush or take back to the store, or give away. They are cheap too, such a good deal!

Hey Brad, It wouldn't be a bad thing for your flow to slow down a little bit at night. In the wild wave and tidal surge slow down considerably at night even with a full moon. 2 of my 3 Koralia evo 750s shut down when my lights go dark. It is still plenty of flow but things can rest. I found that my corals polyp extension at night is much longer with the decreased flow as well. They look like they are getting into true feeding mode.

Not more than 1 Anthia. Yellow Tangs need a minimum 100 gallons. Chances are those 5-6 Chromis will end up as 1 Chromi, unless you get really lucky.

Thanks guys for all the comments and help. Pjacker, I wanted to try night mode on my MP10 but ive heard mixed thoughts and it seems most everyone said to leave it moving as fast as day time. Well its time to try it, I just set it up on night mode and will see how the tank reacts ;-)

I've had a royal gramma in the pass which seem kind of nice and able to handle strong current but it hide a lot. I forgot to say I also have a blue neon gobie, love this guy he's been with me since the days of my 2.5g pico. I really miss my Black Pucruala Clowns, they die from Marine velvet or what it looked like it was, damn shame had them a while.

How well do cromis do with high flow?

Is a dottyback in the same family as the GR?

What small fish easy algae? Seems most all these little fish like the pods and other little critters in the tank.

My Starry Blenny loves algae and can handle all the flow you can throw at it. My Chromis ride the current like they are playing and also being open water swimmers tend to help hiders like gramma come out into the open more.
