What fish to get???

Hi, I have a mixed reef with a niger trigger(who hides a lot), a freckled hawk(who dosent move a whole lot), a bi-color blenny(who is awsome), and a coral banded shrimp. I also have a few corals. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions of fish to get that are interesting, reef safe, and fun to watch, thanks.

anthias are a very active fish to watch.

It might help if you let us know the size of your tank. How about some type of Wrasse; maybe a McCosker's or Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse?

the trigger and hawkfish arent really that reef safe. the trigger will also outgrow that tank. They might try to take out that shrimp eventually. The shrimp might even fight back.

I'd check out some of the other 40 breeder threads on here and see what they have. When I had a 40 breeder reef I had a dwarf angel, pair of occ clowns, and a bangaii cardinal. My favorite fish are clowns. They interact well in pairs. I recently pick up a tank bred neon goby that is really cool. He is really small. Today he was riding around on my large clown cleaning her.

I think you might also prefer some kind of cleaner shrimp of the lysmata variety over the coral banded which can be aggressive.

I'd skip the flashers in a 40.

Thanks cubs fan i got a gold stripe maroon and im thinking about getting another one. The only thing im not sure about is them killing eachother, and i have a friend who wants my trigger when it gets to big
