What Fish Would You Recommend?

Hey All –

So last night after a few beers…*it’s always interesting when you start a conversation with that*…anyway, I decided to take a quick video with my phone for the community. I probably could have done a lot better job, however, my purpose was to ask you all what fish you would recommend I add next?

I would need something reef safe. I tend to prefer more active and colorful fish. I have my hiders already. 

My tank is 67 gallons...I tend to over skim…tank is kept at 76.1…20% water changes every two weeks.

Here is the link to the video on YouTube: http://youtu.be/UiV1MlAZ4hY

What’s in the tank now:

Fish
Picasso Clown (She had a male mate, but I lost him a year ago when I had to tear down the tank for wood floors) – Side note – I would love another clown – just afraid.
Blue Spotted Jaw Fish
Yellow Eye Kole Tang
Tail Spot Blenny
3 – Bonded Lyretail Anthias
2 – Blue/Green Chromis
Christmas Wrasse

Coral: (Mainly Softies)
Frog Spawn
Assorted Rics, Shrooms, and Yuma’s
GSP
Zoa’s and Paly’s

Inverts:
RBTA
Crocea Clam
Customart Clean-up crew (Snails, hermits, emerald crabs)

I was thinking this guy…but would love two: http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?c=2733+3&ddid=217021

Thank you everyone!

If your tank is covered, I'm guessing it is with the jawfish and christmas wrasse, I'd add a flasher wrasse and more chromis.

I added a starki damsel a few months ago and I really like him -- great personality and is able to hang with the other tank mates when it comes to feeding time -- so I'd recommend on of those. You may not be into damsels though, few people are.

You can add another clownfish I suggest getting 1 smaller then your Picasso & it does not have to be a Picasso.

I recommend a few more beers .....and then maybe the clown. Been itching to add a pair to mine. So cool to see them together.

Haha! Great suggestions so far.

I always wondered about flasher wrasses. The tank is covered. :)

I definitely love PPicasso's, just afraid she'll kill it!

Nice setup, I dig those big solanas! Your snowflake & nem are begging for a mate. A pair of firefish would be nice too, so I think if you want them you should go for it.

If it was my tank? I'd pull the chromis and make a bigger anthias school (7?); I'd also pull the christmas wrasse (because shrimp are friends) and maybe replace him with a sixline or a pygmy wrasse.

Like Zibba said, a flasher/fairy addition would be cool, too.

edit: is it a solana?? almost looks like a dsa110

Thought anthias would be to big for that size tank??? I wanted to get some for my 65 but "heard" I need a bigger tank to keep more than one?

I'm glad I asked. Great suggestions and ideas. Sometimes the extra perspective helps. :)

So, I really like the clown idea so far. I would love to get another Picasso. Or, if possible one of the other awesome clowns I have seen around the LFS's lately.

@reefstew - When you say smaller, are we talking juvi's or just one smaller? I would love a juvi - I had this one (Madea, as I call her) since she was a juvi.

@zrogst - Yup, the Solana XL67 - bought it new a few years back. I have the tops on, I love it rimless, but lose to many snails, etc. I'll do some research on Anthias to see if I can get some different types of Anthias. I love their color. If I do that I'll have some Chromis up for grab...if I could catch them. :)

Add a yellow tang and another clown. Make sure the clown is smaller. I have 3 clowns and they are fine in a 110g. you should be just fine with 2 tangs. They might do a bit of tail battling but they should be fine after a few days. The tangs should help to keep the anthias and chromis out in the front.

This is my opinion and not reef law!

Yellow and Kole might even 'pair up' and 'hunt' algae together. I know a few people who run that pair in frag tanks

I'd also pull the christmas wrasse (because shrimp are friends) and maybe replace him with a sixline or...
Gah! What!?!? Why would you replace a good guy with the devil?!?!?!
Smaller Halichoeres pose little risk to shrimp, btw.

@evolved - I don't think I would pull the Christmas Wrasse. One of my fav's. I have 5 Pep's and a Pistol Shrimp that I can't get - has carried over from tank to tank, and they are out and about just fine. My Bluespot has made excellent caves for them to hang in too. So right now, all are great citizens. :)

How about a new tank with all the above mentioned! I think the Anthia idea is also very good, nothing like a big harem. :)
