what food do you feed your tangs

Well... I tried the Broccoli tonight, and every fish BUT my tang ate some... wasn't interested. My Fungia Plate caught the biggest piece! :lol:

Fed an orange slice tonight to the tank. They ate about half of it before it slowly sank to the sand and they ignored it after that. We'll have to see if its gone come tomorrow.

Nice thread folks. Thanks for the write up Gary. I will try some broccoli, maybe oragnes too. Maybe spectrum pellets,mice to hear it has broccoli in it. I have 3 zebrasoma , one heppatus and two siganus . Variety seems to work. I have had some from the start 8 years ago. They are very helathy. I feed: nori; frozen brine, mysis, bloodworm, cyclopeeze,krill,spirulina flake and Ocean nutrition Prime Reef flake,daily

Gary, do you just freeze raw broccoli? do you attach it to a rock or just let it float around? I have some fresh that I froze yesterday but it doesnt want to sink it sticks around the top of the tank.

Tad- jog my memory: what Angelfish are in the museum's 1,000 gallon?

Ahem... 1700g. Geez. :worried2::lmao:

Coral Beautys
Flame Angels
Japanese Angels
and
Lamarks Angels

The big naso tangs ate most of what got eaten while I watched, when I came in on Saturday I couldn't find the orange so I assume it got eaten.

:spin1:

We basically make up our own "Rod's Food" that has about a dozen things in it.

I do the same. I actually add spectrum pellets and nori to the mix. I had a small amout of HLLE on my sailfin that seems to have regressed since I have been doing this. I will have to add some broccoli to the next batch.
