What happened to my clam

Got home from work last night around 11:30-12 and the clam looked great get up this morning and it's gone.

When it was healthy last week

This morning

The tank is a 93 cube and the inhabitants are 2 fairy wrasses, one spot foxface, 2 diamond gobies, 1 mandarin, 2 O. Clowns, 1 coral beauty angel, 1 purple pseudo and 1 purple firefish. Misc snails, strawberry crab and a couple hermits.

Any ideas what are it so fast? I though the angel but I've never seen him near the clam. This was done over night in lights out.

Is your strawberry crab anywhere to be found this morning? Clams can go downhill pretty fast and once this happens the sharks will come out. If you can't find that crab it may have dragged what's left of the clam into a hole or something.

Trouble with clams is they can look fine ('healthy') right up to the moment they die. Only reliable way to gauge health is to look for the white growing shell edge. Your shell does not have that so I'd say the clams was in bad shape from the start. Once the clam dies your CUC will eat the remains in hours.
