slam308,
I apologize for all of the confusion associated with the fish you are looking for. The all black variant of Amphiprion ocellaris is endemic to the Coral Sea, and is normally referred to as the Black and White Percula Clownfish by exporters, importers, and some reference material. We have listed the common name of the fish this way on the LiveAquaria.com web, but with the scientific name as (Amphiprion ocellaris var.)
I have just changed the common name of this fish on our site to Black and White Ocellaris Clownfish in order to eliminate the confusion that is associated with this fish.
Any species that are infrequently available such as this one, will not appear on the LiveAquaria.com site unless they are in stock. When they do become available, they will reside under the correct category (Tank Bred Fish in this instance), as well as displayed in the Collectors Corner section of the site. When we sell out of the fish (which happens quickly with this fish) they will no longer be listed. The use of the search feature in the top right corner of the site will bring the page up for the fish so that you may sign up for the email alert feature.
The Black and White Ocellaris, False Percula, etc. are one of the most difficult tank bred fish for us to acquire as there are not really any significant numbers available by the three companies that commercially produce the fish. We normally have them once per month, and they sell very quickly.
I hope this helps to clarify your questions regarding our site, as well as this beautiful fish. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Happy Reefing!
