I you had to chose a Hardy,Colorful easy to maintain Acropora.
or a colorful stick(not Montipora Digi) what would I be?
assuming the tank is stable all parameters are where they are supposed to be.
One thing you might consider is getting a healthy frag from a fellow reefer no matter what acro you start with. A recently shipped one from the LFS may have already been stressed beyond, and die no matter who's tank it went in. Thus leading you to belive it was "your tank" that killed it. I had that happen with my very first acro. I put in only to watch the tissue and polyps fall off of the skeleton in a matter of days. After being bummed for a week I went in and got a frag that had been in thier tanks for a month or more. It flourished even though I had done nothing to the water chemistry. Also note.... When my water gets neglected.. The acros are the last to let me know.. LPS and montis usually get PO'ed first!
