What is it?

Right before going to bed last night I spotted this coral between a piece of live rock and my sand bed. I woke up this morning and looked in, and it appeared to have moved about an inch. Where it was at the previous night was some cob web looking stuff. Later on today it had moved about another 3 inches.

Anyone know what this is? I was thinking that it may be some kind of leather?

First off your picture didn't load properly, so I can't see anything. A leather coral won't move on it's own unless the water current is moving it. Try the picture again.

It's the dreaded RedX coral, a sinister species indeed.
