Sometimes, but only during nighttime, some small rocks are being my moved on the sandbed. For example, for the last two nights the small rock in the photo has been shifted from the sandbed and turned upside down onto a rock a few inches away

Who is likely suspect? Current stock is
2 ocellaris clownfish
1 bicolour angel
1 yellow tang
1 valentini puffer
1 Roland's damsel
1 springeri damsel
1 royal gramma
2 chromis
1 Chalk Goby
1 azure damsel
4 fire shrimp

Could be not your stock but your currrent... that lip on the rock can act like a parachute for the rock and flip it over if if the water catches it right.

What is moving small rocks?

I have had fish, clowns, Damsels, and a lawnmower bleeny that moves large rocks (larger than one would think they are capable of) out of their way to open escape routes and to keep their "houses" accessible. So I wouldn't rule out a fish.

However, check your flow too. But in this case I see no sand disturbed so I don't think it's flow.

Thanks for the replies. I'm pretty certain it's not the flow as the mysterious movements only happen at nighttime and there is no difference in current between day and night

I did just spot some sort of 'worm' that I've never seen before. Photo is attached but not sure if this is related

I use to have a Toby Puffer that did this. Come to find out he was actually biting the rock while he was moving it. So I assume he was trying to dull down his teeth.

I have a small basket with rubble and I put my loose yumas in there and I noticed that most of the rocks have been taken out and I finally saw that it was my clown fish doing it. Blue Jaw triggers will do it also as well as Harlequin Tusk.
