what is my toadstool doing?

this is my toadstool.
but all my other "harder" to care for sps and other corals are doing great! why is this "easy" coral giveing me such a hard time?

well, ok the pic will come later i guss.... but the toadstool has been laying on its side for a few weeks and is gathering a lot of algee on its side. no slime skin shedding. just kind of deflated a bit. no "rotting" away at the stem. i just dont get it.........
