What is the Most Beautiful Clown Fish to you

My gold strip maroon I have had for 6 years. He's actually that dark in color.

Do all GSM clowns eventually darken to the that dark dark maroon like the one above? mine are still young but they are just a vibrant red.

A. Chrysogaster. When attempting to ID a member's clownfish, I came across this species. Would love to have a pair some day.

There's nothing prettier than a nice GSM -- I've seen some with strangely shaped or small fins, which I don't like, but a GSM like the ones posted in this thread is a sight to behold. Punch and Judy my GSM pair are tank-bred, not the best stock, but they're rescues; I took them in because they had been through several owners and I knew I could provide a good, permanent home for them. They're misbars and don't have much yellow, and Judy has a scar on her nose where she tangled with a large Xanthid crab, but I love 'em to bits. With their funny faces, red eyes and giant fins they look like sweet teddy bears to me... until they attack me with those teeth! :D

Black Variant of A. Polymnus (Saddle Back), B&W Ocellaris, Red/orange Ocellaris, Onyx Perculas, Maroons, Fire Clowns, Clarki variants, Tomatoes, Skunks

In that order.

I also like Helfichs Chic's picassos that a lot of black in them almost like onyx clowns, she was in the running for nano TOTY.. here's one pic:

question; is there such a thing as black and white picasso's?

would cross breeding a black and white saddleback and a picasso produce one? :P

just curious

B/W Ocellaris, btw, anyone know where I can find a few B/W ocellaris that are like completely black w/misbars in IL around Aurora/Naperville?

Just getting black saddlebacks to spawn would be a feat as there is only 2 report occurances, let alone trying to cross them.

A black and white picasso would just be a misbarred black ocellaris. If you want to breed a picasso to a black ocellaris it may be much easier than the previously mentioned crossing.

I'm in total agreement. As a matter of fact, her Picassos influenced me to get a pair for myself. I've had mine since August and they are showing more black and the thick black markings as well! ;)

Question about Picassos - why are some yellowish orange, while others, like the above, are more reddish orange? Is it individual genes, or age??
