What is the symptom of Phytoplaktons culture crash?

Hi,

Can someone explain to me what is the symptom of Phytoplaktons culture crash? My culture usually gradually turn to dark green as most of article described, but recently most of my culture bags ( i use bags instead of 2 liter Soda bottles) turn to dark green with a bit brown color. Are they crashed?

Sounds like they've been let age too long, or a contaminant species is getting established. Crashing usually involves the culture getting lighter in color and often picking up a whitish bacterial cloud, fairly obvious when it happens.

Thanks. I actually found about 20 adult brine shrimps in my culture bag. Propablly happen when I use same turkey baster for my baby brine shrimp bottles and culture bags. I will keep my old culture bag and start new one.
