Can you please suggest which is the best remedy for getting rid of aiptasia.. I read in a few places that aiptasia x sometimes causes these to multiply rather...

I have one pop up now and then. I use boiling lemon juice in a syringe. it does the trick and doesn't seem to bother any coral.

You have to make sure you inject directly in the mouth. I use kalk slurry. Boiling water will work, also lemon juice. Joe's Juice also works.

If u can take that small rock out of the tank to get them, you can do that. I have noticed them on new frags, taken them out and scraped em off with a knife, or fire, or breaking the part with them off. GL

As others have said aipistatia(sp?). Sucks they are on that awesome zoa frag. I've never had an outbreak myself, but from the threads here I'd take care of it ASAP. BTW what body/lens did you use to take that.

:uzi::uzi::uzi::uzi::uzi::uzi::uzi::uzi:

I would get that effing rock out of there, and try to bust it up and get those things off there whole.

As a guy who delt with a freaking outbreak of epic proportions of those freaking monstrosities, I wouldn't ***** foot around with that crap dude.

Aiptasia for sure, breaking that colony up would be a real shame though. I'd do as others suggested and inject, I personally use kalk paste with a very high success ratio out of old salifert 1ml syringes

If you don't want to crack the colony apart, maybe do something to temporarily anger the zoa so they close up? That'd make it easier to get at the aiptasia. Idk, like just take it out of the water for a minute or something.

Also, scraping or breaking them can spread it by pedal laceration so be careful. Also, angry zoa can squirt and some have palytoxin so be careful if you take it out of the water. Lol just be careful I guess.

Yeah as all others have said, just be careful and very thorough getting them all off. Any trace left will grow into a new one, and may spread around the tank. There are at least 5 on that frag that I can see.

Thanks guys.. I tried ultralife aiptasia remover.. But a couple of the come back the next day.. Will try Kalk paste though...
@stingeragrnt: have clicked these with my iPhone 6:)

WOW. I've hated iphones ever since I got the 3g way back when, but they appear to be putting some serious cameras in them. Crap, now I gotta decide if the 2k I just dropped on this camera and macro lens was worth it or if I shoulda just got an iphone 6,lol.
