Trochus had been known to reproduce in the aquarium but, they have a free swimming (pelagic) larval stage which makes it likely that few, if any, will make it to a juvenile stage. Filtration, filter feeders, fish, etc are likely to remove the larval stage.
So I do now have some small cerith snails showing up on the glass, which is pretty cool to be honest. They do suck up a lot of calcium and alkalinity though. Expected as they are forming a shell but was not yet ready for it.
