No sir, won't help your cycle in any way. They will just be one of hundreds of living organisms and creatures living in your tank. You will be mind blown in a few months on the things you will see living in your tank!! You'll see beautiful things, cool things and even creepy things that will make you hesitate to put your hand in there lol
