Looks like a dead peanut worm. One time I left a tub of rock with no light and circulation and you should of seen all the stuff that climbed out and died. :eek2:

Thats what I was Afraid of. I knew there was a peanut worm in that tank. The tank did have flow and filtration and light 2-3 days a week. I also did water changes. It's strange that nothing was eating it if it is dacaying matter. There are several hermit crabs in the tank it's in. That is why I thought it might have been alive.

I dont think it is a peanut worm, no idea what it is, but not similar to any of my worms.

IMHO, it's a sponge... It will turn black as it grows.
