I was cleaning up the bulkheads and noticed that there was a 1/2" (I think)reducer/restrictor plug inside the bullkhead fitting on the sump end of my used Eshopps sump. I was able to wiggle this out so I think it was just friction held.
Did this come with the sump? The bulkhead is 1" but the restrictor looks like it necks it down to 1/2". Perhaps the previous owner added this to quiet the sump down? It seems like it would reduce the flow a lot going from 1" to 1/2". Is there any problem leaving it out?
