You may find this to start happening more often, if your snails are getting enough to eat. Mine lay eggs every month or two, sadly none of the the young have seemed to make it.
Mine will dissapear within a week, and I haven't witnessed predation, so not entirely sure. But your skimmer will probably get to the larvae anyways, and the few who do make it will end up coral food.
if nothing eats the eggs something most likely will eat the baby snail or it will get sucked up by the filtration. Mine lay eggs all the time. I have only seen 1 small snail that survived. I am thinking about setting another tank up and trying to raise some.
