What is this thing?

That branching looking thing appeared to be some sort of sea fan entangled in a gorgonian that I recently bought. Well not the case. This thing is now crawling around the tank. Its some sort of invert. I even squirted some brine into those legs/ branches and it grabbed it and put it in its mouth. It moves about as fast as a crab.

Yes basket starfish. Rather difficult to keep long term.

That's actually incorrect info on basket stars..

Basket stars basicly require the same care and difficulty as Crinoids.
