Just set up a tank. 1 week ago
Filtration. Ecosystem miracle mud and algae refugium
Added live rock from a local store that was un cured. As I don't have any fish or coral I decided to cure it my self
Don't have skimmer
Rock was submersed in hyper salinity for 1 minute to eliminate some crabs and a mantis
Today the rock started to be covered with a white silk slime type in some areas

It's normal?

I would speculate it could be a bacteria mat. If so it should go away on its own. good luck just my cents.

Looks like a sponge.. normal

A bacterial mat would be my guess as well, although a sponge is definitely a possibility too though.
