looks to be an ejected clump of byssal threads.

i wouldn't be too worried about it, my crocea did this a while back when being moved from tank to tank.

Ok great! So far I have him acclimated and on a small rock under my AP700s. I'm not sure how far up I want to place him but I have a lot of light in my tank and parameters are rock solid. I dose Kalk and will test ALK often and ready with additional ALK dosing when needed.

Alrighty then. I emailed LA anyway and see what they say. They have a pretty good policy on this kind of thing.
