It was shootong puffs of something into the water. I found about 4 others. Are they okay or should I remove them?

Not the clam, the snail next to it. It has a half shell that is shiny.

Stomatella snail. It was spawning. You probably have a LOT more than 4.

They are good members of your cleanup crew.

I have what seems like 100's of those in my 45g tank. they clean the glass every night. they move fast too when you touch them.

Yeah, they look slow but can really cover some ground when they want! Maybe it's the low profile tires?
