What is wrong here..?

Okay I have had this pair(false percs) for quite some time now. They are hosting a BTA. The female never leaves the anemone and the male is always hovering right outside the anemone. If another fish comes close she will dart out and nip it and come right back. Other than that, they seem very normal. This morning I woke up to find the male halfway across the tank and in a cave, lying on it's side and breathing a bit rapidly. The lights are off right now so this is all the info I can give.
Is it normal for her to put him out like that? Why would he go "sleep on the couch" in a different spot in the tank, so far away from home? I'm a bit nervous here about the well being of this little guy so any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Keep an eye out for brooklynella...make sure he's eating. If he looks lethargic that may be a sign...laying on the bottom usually means there is a problem. For now keep an eye on his appetite (edit-and respiration!)....if he's not eating in a few days and is still laying on the bottom or acting lethargic, you may consider posting to the fish disease treatment forums. If it happens that this is just a night time routine for the fish I'd say it's nothing to worry about...just normal behavior. However if the clown starts to hide in your rockwork during the day and not accepting foods so on and so on you may have a problem. Let us know...

The clowns have been in the anemone for almost a year now. The bta's oral disk is about 8" diameter, plenty big enough. They hove both been in there together the whole time.

I just got home and he is still in there and barely moving. The breathing seems to have returned to normal. I'm gonna go put some food in the tank now and see if he comes out to eat. And a picture is coming directly..
Thanks everyone, here's hoping...

I plan on doing just that tonight. Would Pimafix work here or something more stringent and/or specific. I think I may be looking at some srt of internal issue here as the eye seems to be secondary, but still just as important. Can't have blind fish now can we?
Thanks all!

primafix should be ok, I am a fan of maracyn myself, what you really want to do is provide a stress free environment that he can recover in. If he took a bad blow to the eye it could just be bruised and inflamed.
