what is wrong with my clownfish?

I have 2 clownfish, had them for 5 months know and it looks like something is wrong with them. they have been eating really good but they have stringy stuff coming off of them, do they shed their skin? If anyone can give me any idea what is wrong with them I would appreciate it.

Sounds like brook to me..........Its too late.Try to buy tank raised. You will have a much better shot next time.

No fish is immune to Brooklynella, captive bred or not. It's probably the most fatal marine parasite, for any fish, period.

Have you added anything new to your tank in the past couple of weeks/days? I would find it odd that brooklynella would just show up now out of the blue after 5 months, it's generally a very fast killer. If they had had it when you got them, they'd probably have been dead long ago.
