What is your favorite Anemone?

wow! nice tank.. i almost bought a magnifica lastnight.. but i thought i would wait.. it was a smaller one.. beautiful.... but there will be more around..

i would liek to turn my 75 into a anemone tank as well like yours.... but i have three other fish other than clowns in there.. will the other fish end up getting eaten if i add lots of anemones?? i have a purple tang and a cleaner wrasse and a flame angel and a pair pearl eye clarkii clowns..

As you can see, I have other fish as well. There are risks associated, particular anemone's are more risk than others. Hints the reason I steer from any carpet, other than a maxi mini.

I would stick to BTAs, preferably aquacultured. Read up on different anemone species, and realize how challenging they are, and you'll see why. While still not "easy," bubbletips are the hardiest and most adaptable of the clownfish-hosting anemones. They're also natural hosts for your clarkii, and available in many beautiful colors, often aquacultured.

It's easy to get excited and feel like a kid in a candy store, but don't bite off more than you can chew! It's much, much better to take things slowly.

aipstasia.......those things are just unstopable.....yeah yeah yeah they are a complete nuisance, and a nightmare to deal with, but they absolutely have to be given the most respect for being the toughest, headstrong, almost immortal of all of them lol. typing this after mixing up a new concoction to try to nuke them with lol.

Zebra anemones? Common names for anemones don't mean a lot. I think you may be referring to Heteractis aurora. They are sometimes referred to as a nursery host. When clownfish are immature, they are sometimes found associating with this species. As for adult clownfish, clarkii is sometimes found with aurora.
