What kind of alge is this?

I was wondering what kind of Alge this is and how do i get rid of it?

What ever you do DO NOT try to pick it out by hand! It will break apart and be everywhere. Vacuum/syphon as much as you can....be aggressive, and put in several large Mexican Turbo snails( Turbo Fluctuosa). This worked as well as anything for me.
