I was just curious what kind of carpet anenome this is?

Sorry I forgot, the color is like a Neon Green... Similar color to a Trumpet.

I saved it from teh LFS and got it for $25.00 :bum:

I have to guess that this is a S. gigantea that is bleached and not helathy at all.
Does the tentacles vibrates? It required high light and very high water movement.
Best of luck

I've had him for two days now and his color is coming back..

At the LFS he was in a horrible tank with under T-12's... I don't know what wattage they were but its color is coming back. Hes starting to turn more green. How big do these S. gigantea's grow?

The tentacles do my vibrate, I have a 150w MH blub on it and he has some good flow of water.

Do you have any reading information on these anenomes?

I say haddoni as the tentacles are globse at the end not tapering to a blunt point as you would expect with gigantica.

A much less demanding anemone

How old is the tank look's clean so i'd say a few weeks ??

The tank is about 3 1/2 months old.

Can't tell because it's so bleached, tentacles "look" like s. gigantea however. Still no definite proof.

Here is another pic. I think my camera makes him more bleached than he is. Hes more green now but if you look at the picture... Behind that circle, which I thought was his mouth, it's showing rock behind it...

Tha is bad news. It means that he got injured and has a hole on his foot. It is unlikely that he will survide due to this injury and resulting infection.
Best of luck to you and him.

Any recommendations as what to do? How do I know if its dying?

You can isolate him and treat him with antibiotic. The hard thing about this anemone is that you need the light and water movement orelse it won't do well, even in treatment tank. You can also leave him alone and hope for the best.
