What kind of crab is this?

Any idea on what kind of crab this is?

He's been in my tank since I've had it setup....Back in late december. I think he came on a Live Rock.

Any ideas?

Hmm. Damn. I hear Gorilla Crabs aren't nice either. LOL Yeah unfortunately I don't have a sump.

Well I do, kinda. One of those built in ones with my Clear For Life Uniquarium. Right now I don't have any fish, so not too much to worry about. I've got hermits and snails. Haven't seen him attack them yet.

My boyfriend had one in his 20, and tried to get him out. That thing was so mean he couldn't catch it, so he rubber banded a sewing needle to the end of a wooden dowel and put a silver side on it to try and lure him out. Well the crab came out alright he grabbed the silver side and the needle and pulled it off the stick. He was marching around the tank carrying the needle like he was a dictator or something. It was so funny. He finally caught him and he found a home in my fuge.

ooo...I got a few of those in my tank. Its sorta like my cleanup crew and eats up what my mantis throws away.

the crabs are easy to catch. just place a tall drinking glass in the tank with bait in the bottom. lean the glass on a 45 angle against some rock. the crab will go after the bait and will not be able to climb up the glass wall. put the glass in at night and in the morning u will be surprised what is in there.
