What kind of flow

How much flow would you recommend for a 46 gal reef tank with overflow to sump. Could I get away with a strong return pump?

Depends on your set up, and what type of corals you plan to keep. Try to put out as many details as you can, you'll get some responses.

I was thinking of having soft corals and a clam. Not sure on what light yet, I'm looking at the 36" SunPod. I'm hoping to be able to make a sump in the 20 gal range and use the CSS 65 skimmer. Let me know if anymore info would be helpfull. Thanks
