What kind of Mantis does TBS sell?

The catalogue page simply says "mantis shrimp" (in fact, it doesn't have specific names for any livestock...)

Just curious.

It says that because they don;t know what kind of mantis shrimp you have. More than likely you'll get N. Wennerae if you order one of those. Occasionally they find different ones but those are your chances.

I meant 'what kind of shrimp they (tbs) have)'

. . . picky, picky . . .

I e-mailed TBS some time ago regarding the mantises they had for sale and they confirmed that they were pretty much all N. wennerae.

Almost all gonodactylids that TBS obtain from their LR are N. wennerae. I have seen a couple of N. torus and N. curacaoensis and an occasional N. oerstedii, but they are very rare.
