Bluefaces, Emporers, Queens, Goldflakes, and Regals in reef systems
Of the species you have listed, I would put them in the following order - from safest, to least safe.
Regal, Blue face, emporer, gold flake, queen.
however, that is pretty reflective of how hard they are to keep..... i.e. easiest would be the queen..... hardest, the regal.
Its always a matter of trial and error - some are safe, some are not, even an individual fish could be totally reef safe in one tank, and not in another...... no one knows what triggers apreviously safe fish to start eating corals...... it may dependon diet, tank conditions, and so on......
From most accounts I have read, most angels are generally safe with leather corals and softies that are "tasty" - and usually safe with sps corals. However, most angels seem to find fleshy corals, and clams irresistable.........
i know that ain't exactly an answer to your question......
I have kept a queen angel for a couple of years in a tank with 'shrooms, star polyps and leathers with no problem. Same with an emporer angel.
Taking the is really a test of nerve, and it basically boils down to what do you want more, a reef tank with an angel fish, and maybe suffer the loss of a couple of corals....... or a reef tank without an angel....... If you look start out expecting an angel to pick at a few specific corals, but let the other 90% alone, then you have a good chance of sucess...... if you start out expecting no damage at all to any coral what so ever.....then there is a good chance of failure........
hope that helps a little.
