Where did you get the Helios T5 super blue from?

You need to use the contact us tab to ask about them. I am not sure if they have the standard 54 watt length in stock yet. I think the standard 54 watt T5 is 45 3/4 from end to end measuring from the base the pins mount to. The Helios lamps some people have gotten are 46 1/2 but they are supposed to be getting in the standard length.

The Maristar arrived today and I must say...IT IS SWEEEEEEEET!

Sorry I've been busy. Here the pics. The T-5's show up a bit blue in the pics. I enhanced the T-5 only pic to give a truer color rendition.

This setup adds about 3 degrees to my 125 during the day when the lights are on.

The fans do whir a bit, but they are no louder than the pumps. I only notice it when they first come on.

The actinics do look a bit purple. Looking at it again today, I may have put a shade too much purple in.

I've heard that URI is working on a true actininc T-5. Should be out in about 6 months. I'll look at replacing mine then. If not, I may go with the superblues.

In case anyone is interested in seeing the guts of the maristar fixture...

I replaced the loud fans, replaced the short T5 power cord, and opened up the ventilation holes above the fans on my 72" maristar fixture. Pictures and details here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=6570506#post6570506

I also made some changes to my ballasts. I added a switch and power cord to the Blue Wave VII so that I could run each MH lamp independently. I added some better rubber gasket material under the end plates of the ballast case to reduce vibration noise, and I put caulking in the gaps of the joint between the top and bottom pieces of the ballast case also to reduce vibration noise.
