What nozzles to use for over 1500gph?

I'm going to be pushing over 1500gph through a 1" nozzle. I was going to use locline, but they only have 3/4" that only handle about 1000gph anyway.

What do others use in terms of an adjustable nozzle for that much flow?

thanks for the suggestion, that is a good idea, though I have two outlets coming from the top front corners of the tank, so I was hoping for something sleeek.

You know those nozzles that come with ph's like via aqua's... wish there was a 1" version of those.

I saw Oceans Motions Omni Flex, but those are $23 a pop, and even with the group buy, it's still a hefty amount for some nozzles.

Still lookin for ideas! bump =)

I have 1500gph and I'm running 1" all the way through and reducing down to 3/4" loc line. I had nozzles @ the end but didn't really feel the umph. So I removed the end nozzles and couldn't be happier. More distributed flow in the tank instead of focusing.

There are some people who thinks flow is better with the end nozzle but there's 2 ways to look @ it. U can have a focuse jet (less water movement) or wide open stream (mass movement). Cost me $20 bucks for this lesson. So don't go blowing your $20 bucks. haha (I have 4 nozzles)

Isn't your soon to be 4 way 1.5"?

Either way, I'd keep it 1" all around unless you're going uder 1500gph. after head lost.

What kind of pump r u using?

I think I'll try to just use a 45 degree bend at the end like you said and see how it goes =)

The 4 way is a 1.5" inlet, 1" outlet. It will have V.2 drum so it will basically act like a "T" so 1" would be good for outlets.

For the close loop, there won't be headloss, just plumbing loss. I'm using a Sequence Reeflo DART.

(btw I Haven't set anything up yet, just a pile of parts sitting in the basement).

Don't worry, you'll still have a pile of left over parts after you're done. :)
