Hopefully my stand will get here today. What kind of paint do you use on the stand to seal it. Its unfinished pine. I'm gonna paint it black but figured I'd need s sealer ecspecially for the inside.

Use KILZ sealer it works killer and it's white so you can just leave that inside your stand to make it easier to see.. I used a rustoleam oil based paint on my last stand(cjscotts new stand) it worked great and holds up really well to the elements I used a satin black finish the only problem is its really messy to clean up and takes like a day or two to dry... Next time Im just going to use Kilz then latex paint..

Ok I have s game plan now. Stand did come in today only problem is that it was a foot to long. What the heck. Now I gotta wait again.

Killz works good, I went for the oil based super high gloss black, for that piano look. Bad idea unless you are a really good painter, which I am not.

I used the two part epoxy paint. Once you mix it you have about a half hour before it hardens. Works well but it is a little on the pricey side.

I had kills mixed with a little bit of black so it's a light grey for the primer. Then I had some appliance (kitchen/bath) enamel semi gloss black made. It's supposed to be really tough and great for water and mildew. Pricey but hopefully will last and look good.
