What PAR readings to you keep your SPS in?

The meter I used is owned by our club. I just asked and they let me use it, its one of the benefits of membership.

Crooks - I am over in Algonquin and could possibly swing over Sunday sometime to measure your tank if you want. LMK.

Thanks for the offer but Sunday I got to go to a party most of the day. I will send you a pm and put a pic up soon of what my tanks par is.

Finished my lighting upgrade finally today. Visual comparison leads me to believe I'm going to see a nice increase in PAR values. Not sure when I'll be able to get around to testing though, but here's a visual comparison of how lighting has changed over the past month or two on my tank.

Thank you Kangym, this is good info. What is dimension of your 60G cube?

I have a 21 tall 90g with the lighting in my sig. Most of my corals are in the 500-750 range. The sandbed gets between 400-450 par. If you do switch out reflectors to the elites just make sure to acclimate properly. I went from pfo pendants that were getting 350 par at the highest coral and around 180 to the lowest to the elites and bleached out a few things, even at the bottom of the tank. Lol

Lumenarc on the left lumenbright on the right 250w Raduim bulbs on a bluewave ballast. I am not sure how old either bulb is but atleast 7 months each. Apogee QMSS-E par meter

I have Aquaillumination LEDs. If someone want to measure my tank thats fine. I'm in nj. I could just buy a meter too. They are crazy bright, just a bit spotty.
