Well I'm going to install a Phosban reactor here soon and I was wondering for those of you who run phosphate reactors which media do you use? There are many different brands, what would you recommend?...

Thanks!!!

I have probably tried them all...or at least most of them. I will only use Rowaphos for now on. The difference was dramatic, and now I am sold on this brand.

Rowaphos is the priciest GFO on the market. I've used that, Phosban and am currently using some I got from Bulk Reef Supply. Affordable and effective. ;)

As far as I can tell, the onlt real difference between rowaphos and the stuff from BRS is the cost. and perhaps the fact that BRS has it to my door in 48 hours or so.

i use phosban, but from my understanding its not the best thing you can use... but i have had some decent results with it and my phos readings... i only use it on my 40

I just switched from rowaphos to puralock, havent noticed anything except i have more money to buy corals with.

So far: Mangrove PuraPhos, BRS high capacity, Warner Marine phosar HC (same as BRS high capacity), Kent PowerPhos, TB aquatics smart reef (same as BRS regular granulated)....

Some wet, some dry, some dusty, some not so dusty, some with fine granules, some with large granules, some with small and large granules, some expensive, some cheap. all work fine and even the dustiest rinse fine if you have a reactor and run a gallon or so thru it into a bucket during water changes. The high capacity GFO is by far the least dustiest (which really matters not unless you cant rinse as described above).

i have tried almost all of them like every one says. its all the same at least for me all the same results just how much money your willing to pay. with a good rinse and a monthly change you will be ok.

BTW im using BRS. group buys ! ;) hint hint lol
