Do leopard wrasses, Mandarin gobies n copperband butterflies eat the same type of pods or different types? I have an established 120 n want all 3 fish.
you will not be able to produce enough pods in tank to keep them all happy. Need to get them one by one, and train them to eat pellets and frozen one by one in QT. or acc. tank.
they all will eat any and all pods, as mentioned if you get one and then wait till it has been properly trained to prepared food, wait a little or buy a pod pack to reseed your tank and then move to the next fish. Keep in mind that even if they do all feed on prepared food that all three will still hunt all day for pods. Having a good fuge that can supply the tank is important.
+1 Agreed. I've have watched my mandarin hours on end hunt. I ave never seen him eat full grown amphipod. Maybe baby amphipods and Copepods. I try to watch where and what he picks at and I never see his target.
CBB's feed on polyps, altho they can be trained to eat other foods. if you can find an Aussie specimen, they tend to take prepared foods well, but don't pay much attention to polyps. I kept an Aussie fish for several years at one point.
