gotta agree wit ez--there is a range that things can live healthily.
I'm not sure where the comments about 1.026 and 1.028 being high or unhealthy for fish come from. Though I'm at work, so don't have my Bornman book of truth on me, his comment on salinity is akin to, "Salinity of natural seawater is 1.028. Reef tanks should be kept at 1.028. Period."
Other than these comments above, I've never heard any on RC that 1.026-1.028 is problematic. Any references for that?
