What salt is everyone using for sps only aquariums

Fritz RPM for me. Mixes fast and clean and Alk mixes to where I like to keep my tank.

No perfect answer out there, for me it comes down to what mixes to where I like my alk. Others mentioned our either to high or two low for my personal liking.

I've been thinking about the Aquaforest probiotic salt. Anyone have any experience with it?

I ran the entire product line for a few months. Far and away the worst thing I've ever tried in this hobby.

I'm not really interested in the whole line. I really like zeovit. The probiotic salt is intriguing though. Why so bad?

You can check out the thread I started on the line. In the end I couldn't give the stuff away, eventually went out for the trash.

It sounds like what I went through when i began zeovit. Lotta work, but once i got it dialed in I loved it. Sounds like a good community for support.

since the OP mentioned for SPS tanks, i really think the salt choice might even be less important due to all the consumption of the corals on nutrients. Either way you are going to have to dose, so if the levels are a little lower i dont see the issue. For example, if you are doing a 10% water change, and your existing mag level is 1450, and the new water is low at 1300, the resulting level in the tank after you change water only goes down to 1435 (from 1450). that's not enough to worry about, and for me not enough to spend more money for a salt with slightly higher levels.

Obviously the difference is even less for lower level items like calcium, etc

Ive always used reef crystals with no apparent problems/issues. In addition, I dose two part with Ocean's Blend.
