What salt

yep- NOT great is it... I mean not terrible either. But wouldn't take much to bring that Ph down to 7.7 or lower= softies taking Alk out pretty quickly or SPS taking Ca out and the tank is in a closed house with slightly high Co2 and BOOM- PH falls too low. I don't chase PH numbers, but it is a concern.

I just have a few zoas at the moment but I usually add 30ml of soda ash solution after water change to bring it up, these have been pretty consistent over the last few buckets I have an unopened one still so when the time comes I'll run some numbers on that one and if money wasn't an issue that Aqua Forrest salt looks pretty promising, but I'm pretty cheap so I'll be sticking with the RC

I started with red sea coral pro and never had any issues. A few years ago I tried reef crystals and noticed a decline in my corals. Switched back to rscp and never looked back.

Ok been searching thinking I'm gonna try red sea pro, now to shop some prices

Just bought reef crystals to begin the process of making water for the new tank. I think I will probable switch to Red sea coral pro when tank is up and running. I figure I will have to do more water changes at first anyhow. Picked it up for under $45 for 200 gallon box - so figured I would at least start with it.
