What size tang to buy?

Finally after ick outbreak, subsequent fallow period, and fish treatment in a quarantine, I am going to get my tangs! (to put in quarantine of course, learned my lesson...) My question is, what size to buy? I know that with certain fish if you get a really small one the chances of it surviving are slim.

My choices:
Mimic Lemonpeel Tang
Small 1.5-2.5" or Medium 2.5-3.5" or Large 3.5-5"

Scopas Tang
Small 1.5-2.5" or Medium 2.5-3.5"

So, what size of each tang do you think would be the best bet?

My tank is 150 gallon, 6 ft long. Fish that survived the outbreak and treatment are an indigo hamlet, yellow belly hamlet, clownfish pair, marine betta, and pink spotted goby.

I've never owned a hamlet; I only know from what I've read about them. However, I have seen the terms, "small grouper", "predator" and "eats small fish" used to describe them. Therefore, I would opt for two large 3.5-5" tangs. You don't one bigger than the other, and it would be best to add them to your DT at the same time.

I was looking to buy at VividAquariums, and it looks like in order to get the same size I would be getting mediums (no large in the Scopas).

Hamlets are awesome. :inlove: Hamlets stay small, and like any fish they fall into the if it fits in their mouth they will eat it category. The yellow belly hamlet is full grown but is big enough that it could eat a small fish (a small fish being <1.5 inches). IMO, they are an under-rated fish. Not too expensive, easy to keep, pretty, fairly good tempered, and reef compatible except for things that will fit in their mouths.

He is currently in quarantine and better looking than the picture!!! LA also had a stock scopas tang so both are in quarantine together. I am excited!
