what skimmer are you guys useing on your 10gal nano?

im getting alot of spend spend spend for a skimmer for this 10gal tank.

i a seeing alot of 10gal nano's with no skimmer is it a must? if you feel it is then which skimmer?

i see alot of cheapo type skimmers for nano's what will do the job without killing my wallet?

if im going to spend alot on a skimmer i would just rather buy a G4 for my big tank

thanks for your help

Joe

yeah i've got the same question. I keep hearing how certain skimmers like the nano fission one dont work, their just a "conversation piece" but then at the same time i've heard people say they do work. I'd like to get one, but not if its useless. and a good one too. anyone got any answers for me or joe here?

I use the medium size Lee's brand. It's air driven and works well. Being internal it grows algae on it fairly well. Other than that and the space it takes up I like it alot.

I would think water changes would be sufficent on a 10g, but maybe adding a HOB refuge would help.

AquaC has a new nano remora, but not so cheap on the wallet.

I allready started the AC110 mod for a fuge so i am part way there, i was just thinking the extra would help, but i would rather spend $350 for a new G4 for my 125 then $130 for one for this 10gal LOL

i am all for WC's as i am quite anal as it is, doing 30% every other day on my 240 FW.

so 10% on a 10gal once a week is cake for me.

Thanks

Joe

I wanted to set up a 10g so I was looking into it also, just doesnt seem like there is anything that would be worth the money IMO.

We just bought a reef octopus 200 for our 180 after hearing tons of good reviews from local people using it.
Supposed to be every bit as good as an asm, and way cheaper.
I think we paid 190?
