What species carpet is this?

I'm considering purchasing a nem from a fellow reefer but want to make 100% sure it will thrive in my tank. I've been reading for a couple years about carpets and wanted one for just as long, but have been leery to take in one that will waste away. Current owner says its a greenish color and the tips are a brighter green under actinics.

I have an established (13 months) 180g reef, with a 3-4" sand bed. I kept BTAs in the tank I had before this one and have Maxi Minis in the current tank so I have experience with the easier nems.

So what do you guys think it is and how much would you pay for it?

The species is S. haddoni. They are considered to be one of the hardier host anemone species. They like to attach in a deep sand bed. They are known to occasionally eat fish.

Well I got him home. How does he look? His mouth is open a bit...should I be worried yet or is that just part of the acclimation process? Pics are from during the acclimation while he was in the bucket. I'll post some more tomorrow. =)

Sand is about 4" where he's at.
Here he is this morning under just my blue lights. Hopefully my clowns will leave my poor torch alone now and make friends with this guy.

Maybe they might not want to. Haddonis are known to eat clowns too. My buddy had a red haddoni who ate his female clown. He sold it the next following days. I think it can avoided with ample feeding. Good luck.

Really...i thought the carpets were natural hosts to perculas. My sexy shrimp have been all over it already.
Well hopefully i dont lose my clowns...
